We are a well established independently owned and family run estate agency specialising in the sale and letting of residential property with branches in Woodseats, Gleadless and Dronfield. We pride ourselves on our expert local knowledge along with our hands on pro-active approach towards selling and letting property which we feel gives us a competitive edge over our competition. All of our staff have a wealth of experience of the property market and all live within the local area. Our passion and determination to sell and let property is matched only by our investment to leave no stone unturned with the extensive marketing and promotion of our properties. We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to ensure that we are maximising the exposure of our properties both online and in print to give our clients the best possible opportunity of a sale for the best possible price within an optimum timescale.

Matthew Staves – Director

Having been in the Estate Agency business since 1996, all of this time operating within the Sheffield and Dronfield area, I have realised that client satisfaction and customer care is paramount. That is why at Staves Estate Agents we are totally committed to keeping you fully informed and guiding you through every step of the house moving process. We also know that there is no substitute for expertise and knowledge of the local area, which is why we feel passionately that our experience gained operating within the area coupled with our values as a family run business, enable us to provide you with the best service and advice possible.


Amy Staves – Director

Amy co-founded the company with Matthew in 2010 and has been an integral part in the company’s growth and success ever since. Amy has a passion for customer care and is also supremely organised. Living locally Amy has excellent local knowledge of the property market which combined with her friendly and professional approach has seen her become very popular with clients past and present. Amy is involved in a number of local community and charity initiatives which has helped her to make strong and lasting relationships with local people and organisations.


James Staves – Dronfield Director

Having expert local knowledge of the Dronfield property market and a genuine care for its people means that we can provide a unique bespoke service to our clients and assist them with the sale or let of the property right the way through to completion. James appreciates that the most important commodity for an estate agent is an unrelenting commitment to ensure that the best possible sale can be agreed with the minimum of stress for the client and that is exactly what we aim to do.


Lucy Staves – Dronfield Director

Having significant experience within the lettings industry having worked within the Nottingham market for several years, Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. Living in Dronfield with her family including two young children, Lucy shows a genuine care to her clients and an understanding of their requirements and will endeavour to deliver outstanding customer service with a professional approach.


Robert Oakley – Woodseats Office Manager

Robert is branch manager at our busy Woodseats office and has worked within the local property market for the last 15 years, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. Robert is an enthusiastic and committed individual who is always prepared to go the extra mile for the good of his clients. Rob has lived within the S8 area all of his life and therefore has a real feel for the area and the community. What Rob doesn’t know about S8 isn’t worth knowing!


Wendy Moffatt – Gleadless Office Manager

Wendy has worked within the local property market for a number of years and is therefore able to offer our clients a wealth of first-hand experience and advice whether selling buying, letting or renting. Wendy is a very efficient and hardworking member of the team and is an asset to our busy Gleadless office. We have received many letters and emails of appreciation for Wendy from clients only too pleased to pass on their thanks for her help, expertise, patience and determination in ensuring that their sale went through without a hitch!


Kate Brown – Dore & Totley Office Manager

Kate is the branch manager at our Dore and Totley branch. Living in the heart of the local S17 community, Kate offers a wealth of local knowledge. Kate is absolutely passionate about the property market and passes this enthusiasm on to all her clients. She has previously worked in most areas of the estate agency business - including sales & marketing, negotiation & conveyancing. Committed to providing outstanding customer service and a stress-free experience; from the moment a valuation is booked, to the final completion day, Kates outstanding level of service allows her clients to have full confidence in their sale & after care. Kate believes that people are at the heart of everything we do and loves communicating with all our valued customers.


Gail Green – Sales

Gail works at our Gleadless office and offers excellent first-hand knowledge of the area having lived within the local area all of her life. Gail takes great pleasure from being able to pass on her unrivalled first-hand experience of the area and its people whom she knows so well. Gail’s drive, enthusiasm and understanding of the local property market along with her friendly and approachable manner makes her a real asset to Staves.


Janine Pallass – Sales

Janine first started working at Staves in 2015 and has played a vital role in the success story of the Dronfield branch. Janine’s expert local knowledge of Dronfield and its surrounding areas proves invaluable when talking to clients about the needs and her enthusiasm to exceed customers’ expectations is regularly praised by both buyers and sellers alike. Janine’s natural approach to customer service means that every request is met with a ‘can do’ attitude and dealt with in a friendly and professional manner.


Rebecca Bradburn – Sales

Rebecca brings a wealth of local knowledge to the Dronfield branch along with vast industry experience having worked within property sales for over 10 years throughout Sheffield, The Peak District National Park and North East Derbyshire. Rebecca’s client care and expert sales progression ensure that our vendors and buyers are kept well informed throughout the process of selling their home.


Nancy Gill – Sales

Nancy carries out many of our accompanied viewings for North East Derbyshire and provides a friendly and approachable environment for buyers and tenants to feel at ease when viewing. Nancy’s local knowledge is often key in securing sales and rents and will go out of her way to ensure that viewers have the information they need in order to make an informed decision on a property.


Ben Willis – Sales

Ben first started working at Staves as an apprentice and has subsequently proved himself to be a very able and important member of the team. Ben is a very approachable, friendly and hardworking individual who’s natural enthusiasm and commitment is infectious. Ben takes great satisfaction from successfully matching properties to buyers and buyers to properties and has proved himself to be an integral part of the team.


Steve Simmonite – Sales

Steve carries out a large number of our accompanied viewings as well as undertaking our inventories and check outs. Steve is an extremely passionate and enthusiastic person whose positivity instantly rubs off on other people. Steve is also very meticulous in his work and indeed we have received many words and letters of thanks from clients who have really appreciated his time, commitment and patience.


Claire Hall – Sales

Claire excels in customer service, having worked within the customer service industry for over 20 years. Her calm and friendly approach, allied with her pro-active nature, makes her a real asset to Staves. Claire likes nothing more than the satisfaction of seeing a job through to completion and surpassing expectations along the way.


William Staves – Lettings Manager

Will is in charge of our ever growing lettings portfolio and has been with the company since we opened the doors for business. Wills enthusiasm and work ethic is a major contributor to the company enjoying the success and reputation that we enjoy today. Will believes strongly in the ethos of the company which is based on customer care and client satisfaction and takes great pride in ensuring that we provide the best possible levels of service to both landlords and tenants. Will likes nothing more than matching properties to tenants and tenants to properties.


Esther Barnes – Mortgage Advisor

Esther has a great deal of knowledge and experience within the mortgage market and will take the time to understand the clients situation and needs to enable her to provide the soundest advice. Esther is an independent broker who will work hard to find the best available deal depending on your circumstances.


Andy Hall – Mortgage Advisor

Andy has been involved in the mortgage market for a considerable length of time. His personality and friendly manner soon puts people at ease and makes the conversation of mortgages some what more bearable!
